Jane Milan, M.Ed., is the founder and creator of The Milan Method, a simultaneously visual, auditory, kinesthetic, tactile, and phonemic awareness protocol designed to remediate auditory perception deficits in youth and adults.
With over 25 years of professional teaching experience, she has worked with a wide
range of learning profiles including students diagnosed with dyslexia, central auditory processing disorder, and nonverbal learning disorder. She has received special training in several Orton-Gillingham-based methods, including Lindamood –Bell systems, and holds certifications in Precision Teaching, Barton Reading and Spelling Program, as well as diagnosing dyslexia.
Ms. Milan is an expert in the areas of dyslexia remediation and assessment, auditory
perception, phonemic awareness, psycho-educational testing analysis, and I.E.P policy and procedures. She has served as an international consultant for teacher training, curriculum development, and helped create student success plans as well as individual educational plans both nationally and internationally.
In 2019, Ms. Milan merged her program with the YokyWorks Foundation. Together, these two organizations are passionate about, and dedicated to, inspiring people of all ages to engage in the pursuit of lifelong learning and opportunity.
